I am a new customer, what do I need to bring?

You will need to bring your Card Licence, and a DVLA WEBSITE Licence Check Code / or National Insurance number. Two forms of identification that show your address besides your licence, that have recently (within 3 months) been sent to you in the post. For example, bank statement, utility bill etc.

How do I get a Driving Licence Check Code from DVLA?

You will need to go to the DVLA View Driving Licence website page. CLICK HERE to go there. Enter the required information, then click "Share your licence information". Then click "create a code" . This is the code we will need to check your licence. On the day you come to hire, bring the code with you ( remember its case sensitive ). If you are having problems obtaining the code for some reason, then bring your national insurance number with you at the time of collection and we will obtain it for you.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, there is a £300 deposit. You will need a credit or debit card. We cannot accept a cash deposit.

What if i have points on my licence?

Our insurance will only accept up to 8 points on your licence, as well as certain codes, if you have a question or wish to know if you can drive our vehicles give us a call.

I am going over the Dartford Crossing, do I need to pay?

You pay us for the crossings at the time of collection, do not try to pay Dartford yourself. We have an account with Dartford, and payment is taken automatically when the vehicle crosses.

Is there an age restriction?

You need to be aged between 23-24 and driving for at least two years, 25-75 and driving for at least a year (21-22 + 75 and over, must come in to their local branch 48hrs prior to booking so we can apply to our insurers on your behalf. This must be during office hours). To hire 15/17 seat minibuses must be aged 30-75. Your age may affect which vehicles you can or cannot hire. Please call us if you have a specific question regarding this.

How much is the damage excess?

£350 for a car. £500 for a van. £750 for a 15/17 seat minibus

How much does it cost to add an additional driver?

£3 per day, per driver, up to a maximum of 30 pounds.

Can I leave my vehicle while hiring, is there parking available?

Yes, Parking is available although this is at your own risk.

Can I hire a vehicle for a few hours?

We do not offer hourly rental. Our rental periods are 24 hours. Either from morning to morning, or evening to evening.

Can I take a vehicle abroad?

Yes, we do offer overseas travel. However there are additional costs and paperwork necessary. Please contact us for more information.

Do you supply an "abroad kit" for traveling abroad?

Yes we supply a kit for vehicles booked to go abroad. The kit includes: a first aid kit, warning triangle, bulb kit, high visibility vest, we cannot offer a breathalysers due to health issues so this will need to be brought by your self .

How many miles can I drive, is there a mileage restriction?

We say unlimited within reason. If the mileage will be very high, there may be a small additional cost. Please contact us for more information.

Can I return the vehicle I am hiring outside of office opening hours?

No. Vehicles cannot be returned whilst the office is closed.

Does the vehicle come with any fuel?

Yes, however how much varies. If for example the vehicle had half a tank at the time of collection, it would need to have half a tank when returned.

Can I drive a Mini-Bus or van on a normal licence?

You can drive any vehicle we offer on a normal licence with the exception of 15 seat Mini-bus.

Do I need a special licence to drive a 15 seat Mini-bus?

You will need a category D1 on your licence. If you passed your driving test before January 1st 1997, you will automatically have it. If you passed you test after that date, you will need to take an additional test to obtain a D1 on your licence.

Are your vehicles new?

The majority of our fleet are new vehicles. However we cannot always guarantee you will get the newest.
